Speaking of race (and gender etc.)

This CNN story is amusing. I had noticed earlier today the headline of the story to which this one refers, and was momentarily annoyed by the apparent presumption that if you're a member of a group officially recognized as being oppressed you will automatically vote for a member of your group. Apparently I was not the only one. Good sign.
