Music for all the vicissitudes of life.

Exactly, and I thought it appropriate as we head into Lent.

Oh, man, I sing those all the time.

Sally, That article about the Blues Singer's woman is hysterical.

AMDG

I paid for posting these by having the first one stuck in my head for much of the past 24 hours, including a bout of insomnia early this morning.

Whoooaaa!

Heh. I wasn't sure at first glance what you meant--that's a hard sound to transcribe.

Janet -- I'm glad somebody actually visited the link. That may be my all-time favorite Onion piece.

I love the woman's picture. The article is here: http://www.theonion.com/articles/blues-singers-woman-permitted-to-tell-her-side,472/
if anyone is interested.

AMDG

Thanks for providing the link--I was about to go looking for the link on Sally's blog, in case that was where you saw it. Very funny. I'm surprised they didn't include what I think of as one of the most common of those lines and have her saying that another mule had not been kicking in her stall. But I guess it depends on what songs you've heard the most.
