Very funny (and scary at the same time).

What was funny about it to me was not so much the "start WWIII" business, as I never thought any military action that Obama bumbled into would have many consequences beyond the deaths of the people immediately affected, but the depiction of the Obama cultists. "Because--Obama!"

Yes, that was priceless!

I must say I was (probably irrationally) worried that any action in Syria might well escalate into something far worse.

The line about all of us ending up in refugee camps -- but ones with Wi-Fi -- was pretty good too. Kind of a capsule picture of our Brave New World.

Right in keeping with the theme of Tyranny of Liberalism.

I like the long-overdue satirizing of the "Obama cultists." I seem to recall about two years ago some Famous Hollywood Idiots put out a video in which each one, zombie-like, "pledges" his support for our Great Leader, King Barack. Really creepy, extremely moronic--and deserving of much ridicule and disdain.

BTW, these were the same people screeching "Dissent is patriotism!" back when Bush was president. I believe there was a more recent video, the gist of which was that we need to stop all this bickering and get behind our Great President in peace and unity of purpose. "Obama cultists" may actually be an understatement...

Yes, I posted that video, with expressions of shock and horror, when it came out. It was truly bizarre. I recall that there was an argument about whether it was creepy or not. It struck me as very much so, very cult-like. I think there's a natural human tendency to want to bow down to a Big Man and turn the running of things over to him. A perversion of the need to worship God, maybe.

Not just "patriotism," but "the highest form of patriotism," as I recall.

I agree. And I agree it was long overdue, Gary!

Here is the blog post I was thinking of. I'm pretty sure that's the video Gary is talking about. Unfortunately the argument/discussion I referred to took place in the old commenting system, Haloscan, which was taken down a few years ago (not just removed from my blog, but taken down, period).

blech!
