I wish I could believe it was satire. I suspect it's just a symptom of the lack of any coherent notion of what "married" means, though.

Yes, it's the reductio ad absurdum. And a symptom of extreme cultural disorientation.

Is it too much to ask for the end of the world to come now?

"Thinking, 'Wow, all these people have come all this way today to celebrate me marrying myself!' was very humbling."

How does THAT work, exactly?

That's one of the lines hardest to distinguish from satire.

Fr. Matt, I'm afraid the answer to that is "yes."

Hilarious, and, I believe, Facebook-worthy.

Take care that you don't do it in such a way as to get yourself accused of being a solaphobe.
