That's a beautiful picture.
A long time ago, when I was about 25, that passage had a very powerful effect on me. I don't remember what was going on, but it was like I was being asked, "Are we just playing some kind of game here (with my praying, etc.), or are you going to take this seriously?"
I probably need to ask myself this more often.

It's a mysterious question to me. I guess that's part of the reason I like it so much. I may be reading something into it that's not there--that the reed itself is significant in some way.
Glad you like the picture. It's not what I wanted but they never are. That was a few weeks ago and I was sitting there looking at those reeds (actually bamboo) and thought of the scripture passage, then noticed this feast day was coming up.
